Apple announce iOS 6, coming 19th of September

Apple have today at their press event announce the iPhone 5, but along with it have announced the latest version of iOS which is now up to version 6. The newest version beings with it new features.

  • New map application
  • Passbook
  • Do Not Disturb
  • Facetime of cellular

Map Application

A noticeable change is the new Map application which includes Siri support for navigation, Satellite images and 3D building views.

Passbook

The new Passbook app gives you the ability to contain a digital ticket for easy access, much like a cinema or plane ticket. Much like the function built-in with a lot of third-party apps, which will now be neatly available in one place.

Do Not Disturb

The do not disturb function as already been seen on other smartphones. The ability to quickly send a text when receiving a call if you are unable to answer it.

Factime over cellular

Another big uptime that has been expected and anticipated for sometime is the ability to make Facetime calls over cellular.

The latest version of iOS 6 will be available on the 19th of September and will be available on the following the display.
