Facebook reaches 900 million users, one-seventh of the entire earth population

That’s right folks, Facebook has hit the milestone for 900 million users(901 million to be exact). This is no doubt a record number of users on any one site and considering it’s around one-seventh of the population, Facebook is coming getting close to that 1 billion mark. Now of course the full 900 million people aren’t the one’s logging in every day and that figuire is just for the amount of accounts. Facebook however have stated that around 488 million users are logging in every day from mobile devices. That is whopping 60 percent user rate. Eventually Facebook will run out of new users as there won’t be anyone left who can sign up.

“We believe that we are at the forefront of enabling faster, easier, and richer communication between people and that Facebook has become an integral part of many of our users’ daily lives. We have experienced rapid growth in the number of users and their engagement.”

Facebook stated in their filling with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for it’s initial public offering (IPO)
