Every new flagship smartphone the past couple of months has been 4.7-inches or higher with the HTC one being the smallest and 4.7. However HTC want to make sure that even the people that prefer smaller device can take advantage of some of the new features the HTC One has to offer, and with that in mind they have announced the HTC One Mini.

Coming in with a 4.3-inch 720p display, the new device doesn’t just share some specs like the Ultra Pixel camera and Sense UI and Zoe features, it also shares much of the design from the original HTC One as well. The few differences are mainly the overall specs with a lower screen resolution and CPU, which is the Snapdragon 400 dual core clocked at 1.2GHz.

We can’t really say for sure if the HTC One mini is a true smaller version of it’s bigger brother or if it’s simply too much of a diluted copy, we will have more information once we can get are hands-on with one a do a full review, in the mean time check out the press release below and full specifications as well. Availability is set for August in some regions with global launch later in September, pricing has yet to be announced.
